Strategic Card Battles

Engage in tactical deck-building combat. Collect cards, weapons and armor to increase health and attack power. Pair items that work together to chain big attacks.

Your gear builds your deck

What you equip does two jobs. It sets your numbers: armor raises your health and a better weapon raises your attack. It also adds cards. A trinket like the Spinning Blade gives you the Spin Move in combat, and the Acolite's Cowl has a small chance to generate a single use Heal or Bite card.

Fights run on a timeline

Enemies show what they are about to do, and a timeline shows how long each action takes. Your cards and your weapon cost time to use, and some gear makes you faster. A big card is a bet that you can afford the wait.

More than one enemy

A fight can put several enemies on the field at once, so you choose who to hit as well as which card to play.

Combos

Equip items that are designed to work together. The Spinning Blade trinket gives you the Spin Move, which gets more powerful with each stack of the Spinning Blows status effect. Use cards like Wind Up to triple your next attack's damage, and combine it with Spin Move to one-shot tougher enemies.

Eight elements

Damage comes in eight types: fire, water, earth, air, shadow, light, physical and mental. Some monsters are immune to some of them.

If you are struggling in a particular biome, switch up your deck to counter the enemies' elemental immunities. In water biomes, for example, consider weapons and items that deal Shadow Damage.

Win something every time

Each victory pays out rewards, with at least one item in the pile. Those items feed straight back into your gear and your deck. New to deckbuilding? Read the beginner tips.
