Collect and Customize

Find and upgrade items, trinkets and gear. Every item has its own artwork, with rare drops that encourage exploration.
Seven slots to fill
You equip a main hand weapon, an off-hand, a helmet, a chest piece, gloves, pants and a trinket. Each piece changes your stats and the cards you bring into a fight, so swapping one item can change how a whole fight plays.
There are hundreds of weapons, armor pieces, trinkets and cards, with names like Gustblade, Incineration Bow, Air Nomad Robe, Upwinder's Cloak and Poncho of Insight.

Rarer drops are worth the walk
Items come in six tiers: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary and Unique. The better tiers drop less often, which is part of why it pays to keep exploring new biomes.
Upgrading
When you find a higher level version of something you own, it levels up your duplicates too. Leveling up equipped armor raises the max health it gives you. Trinkets do not level up, so their value comes from the cards they add.
The gear collection
The collection screen lists every item in the game by star rating. Pieces you have not found yet show as dark silhouettes with a question mark, and a counter at the bottom tracks how many you have found at each star level. It gives you a reason to go and find one more.
